I make my own vanilla bean infused maldon flaked sea salt. NEVER thought to use it on my pecan pie. It would be perfect!

Question: would using dark brown sugar increase or decrease the sweetness in the pie? Or would it even be any good at all? I've always wondered but hate to waste an entire pie on something people might not eat.
