Also, I think eggnog is actually highly sweetened. I think finding a brand without cornsyrup Would be key bc the rest of the pie is so delightfully unprocessed. We currently use a mix of maple syrup and brown sugar in ours, but if I make my own eggnog, I will try this tip.
