Hi Sarah! Most recipes will give you specific things to look for so we wouldn't use it as a general rule of thumb. For example, the majority of our quiche recipes tell you to bake until the crust is browned and the filling looks or feels set, and our Lemon Chess Pie calls for you to bake until the center is fully set. For best results, we'd recommend following the specific directions.
