Slices never do look quite as pretty as the whole pie, although it's lucky that nobody who is about to eat a piece of warm apple pie ever seems to mind! Don't be afraid to put a little force behind those delicate decorations, as it will help them to stick better. And of course, making sure that the knife you're cutting the pie with is both sharpened and honed will leave your crust less disturbed.
