I am attempting to make your Apple Pie recipe, but I have not been able to find boiled cider where I live. I do have apple orchards near where I live, though, and I recently purchased some cider at one. In attempting to make the boiled cider, I think that I cooked it too long. The consistency started to become hard as it cooled. The taste, however, was good. Not too tart. Is it acceptable to just add a little fresh cider and stir to the desired consistency?
