I tried this with a gallon of my fresh local cider. I used a Dutch oven and boiled for 6hours. But the consistency never thickened up - it’s slightly thicker than it began. It also never formed the copper-colored foam on top. I’m not sure what I did wrong - but the flavor is ok, I’m not going to waste it! Any ideas where i went wrong?
