Hi Sally,

Yes, you could par-bake the bottom crust for about 5-8 minutes and then proceed with the fruit filling and top crust. Placing the pan on the lowest rack of the oven halfway through the baking time can also focus more heat on the bottom of the pan, providing better browning.
