Ginny, we actually have another blog article on this exact topic: How to get pie crust to brown on the bottom. The tips and tricks in this post should help you get a fully-baked bottom crust without burning the top. If you do find that the top edges of your pie are getting too browned though, pie shields are a useful tool to keep on hand. Happy baking! Kat@KAF
