From my perspective, you could have saved yourself a long article and just told us to use your pie filling enhancer. ;-D I tried for YEARS (I'm an old person ;-D ) to make a decent apple pie because my husband loves them. They were all just ok, and usually too runny. I tried flour, cornstarch, mixing apple types and using half for flavor and half for structure, cooking the filling first, using canned filling (the horror!) … you name it. Then, one day, I send off for your pie filling enhancer and the problem was solved. I feel like I'm cheating somehow when I use it, but after this many years, I don't care LOL. Oh, and I also tried Braemar apples with that first PFE pie and they were wonderful. It's been hit-and-miss on the apples (they're sometimes hard to find), but I can always get your pie filling enhancer!
