While we haven't tried it against the full force of the hair dryer, anecdotally speaking we have found it to hold up just as well as a buttercream with shortening for stabilization. It can be nice to have another flavor profile in your belt for when you are looking for something a little different. And of course if you need any more reassurance, Finn, several generations of Southern bakers have all said it holds up well too!
