Hi Susan.
KAf, I am a self taught baker and I am regularly on your site for answers. I live in a hot and humid Tropical climate. I recently tried ABC, all shortening to make a stencilled cake as a trial, thank God. Boy , without the aircon, truly , I saw streaks of colour running down my cake.
Here , most local recipes use sugar syrup (3:1)to make the frosting , but on hot days that is not good for piping flowers . So can I add cornflour to my buttercream ? Is clear gel the same as glaze used for brushing fruits on a cake ? Thank you in advance. I so desperately want to make a stencilled cake but all videos are for ABC or egg based buttercream.
