I once made a birthday cake for a friend with buttercream frosting. It was a hot and humid day and the frosting started sliding off of the cake. This past weekend I made 150 whoopee pies for her celebration of life, another hot and humid day. I filled them with a cream cheese frosting and it held up very well. It was interesting to read this after I made them.
