Flour frosting is called Gravy Icing in the Fannie Farmer Baking Book. One thing I like about it is that you use granulated sugar in the recipe. I'm not a particular fan of Ree Drummond, but she had a recipe for Gravy Icing on her website (can't recall what she called it though) and just raved about it. It's good!
