Hi Louie, I would consider the chocolate syrup as a liquid, and whole chocolate milk should work fine. You might also consider adding 1/4 teaspoon xanthan gum, which is added as an optional ingredient in this ice cream recipe to promote a creamier texture. Recipes that include eggs will tend to be creamier as well.
