I just found this article and it was very helpful! I have a cuisinart ice cream machine. I usually stop churning when it looks done/seems frozen enough, but I often get that oily/coat the roof of your mouth feeling. How can you tell if you’re over churning it, other than it looking like butter? Are there any visual signs to look for? I will also look into using heavy cream (instead of heavy whipping cream which is all I can usually find)
