Great article! My question is I have an ice cream maker that uses ice and rock salt but has an electric motor. I like it because it’s canistern is big and I can make a good size batch. But even freezing the canister ahead for two days and completely chilling the custard base it still takes over 45 min for the ice cream to be done. And sometimes about an hour! In your opinion should I get another ice cream maker? I notice the ice content is high no matter what I do. Maybe get the ice cream bowl that fits the kitchen side mixer? It seems like other have my same problem with my model ice cream maker. Any advice would be appreciated thanks.
