I'm a believer! Cake strips are easy to use, and cakes bake beautifully - level and tender. And having level layers makes filling and frosting those layers easy, too. Pressing down the "dome" doesn't work for me - the cake likes to spring up - and compressing the middle (instead of cutting away the dome) seems opposite of having light and airy cake. Thanks, PJ, for the "how it works" explanation - gotta bake a cake now!
