Hi, Dea. Pastry cream can be a one-person task, we promise! Pour the hot milk into the egg yolks and whisk the ingredients together until combined. Then pour this mixture through a strainer back into the simmering milk, then continue to whisk over the heat. I'll update that sentence in the article so it's more clear. We hope you give homemade pastry cream a try!
