Thanks for asking, Judy. You're welcome to use a robustly flavored liqueur to flavor your pastry cream. (We can imagine a Grand Marnier-flavored pastry cream served with fresh strawberries would be incredible!) Add 2-3 tablespoons of liqueur to your finished pastry cream after it comes off the stove, when the recipe calls for adding vanilla extract. This additional liquid will make your pastry cream slightly thinner so you might want to use rounded measures of flour and cornstarch to compensate for this. Adjust the amount of liqueur to taste based on how strong you want the flavor to be. Enjoy! Kye@KAF
