Iris, sounds like you're a seasoned popover baker, and I'll bet you bake picture-perfect popovers. Truth be told, I seldom stress if something doesn't come out looking exactly like a photo in a cookbook; I'm more interested in whether or not it tastes good. We have a saying around here: No baking police; we're each allowed to go our own way in the kitchen. There are many paths to baking satisfaction, and mine may not always result in great-looking results, but if it tastes good — to me, that's success, not failure.
