I used Rhodes Texas dinner roll dough balls, thawed them, rolled them out, put on my filling, folded them in half and put them in a loaf pan and baked. I spread the flat rolled out dough balls with butter, sprinkled on brown sugar and pecans for my filling. baked as per package directions. worked wonderfully.
