I used the room temperature butter, but I didn't chill my biscuits before baking. I also rolled them out to about 1/2" thickness for a total of 14 biscuits. They almost doubled in size. I was thinking it was my baking powder, but I tested it in warm water and it fizzed like crazy. They still turned out great and I will try this recipe again, but next time I will chill the biscuits before I bake them.
