Ooh, great question, Jane! While chilling a bowl is SUPER helpful when making whipped cream, (cold cream and a cold bowl whip the fastest) I haven't found it makes any difference with meringue. If anything it takes a little longer for them to whip, but the friction made from whipping them at such a high speed warms the mixture up pretty quickly. Annabelle@KAF
