Hi Samantha, normally the dough setting is used when you want to mix, knead and allow the dough to go through its initial rising time in the machine. After that, you remove the dough, shape it, and place it in a greased loaf pan to rise and then bake in your home oven. However, this blog post has some tips about how you can remove the dough from your bread machine to shape it and then return it to the machine for baking. However, for this process you would select your preferred bread cycle rather than the dough cycle.
