Alright, Patricia, we've heard back from our Bread Machine Guru Mary, and it looks like Olivia has also chimed in to also add her thoughts. Here's what Mary had to offer: "Breadman machines [in 2000] were great machines but sometimes the paddle tended to stick on the peg and not come off readily. If that is the case, I can see it difficult to remove the paddle. 18 years ago the Breadman had a pause cycle, which was nice for when you wanted to take the dough out, remove paddle, or do some shaping, then put dough back in. I think they still do, but don’t know if they did 30 years ago. 18 years ago, I did do it with that model." Our best guess is that your model supports this feature, but you may need to use a little elbow grease to remove the paddles after being in the machine for so long. Give it a try and see if they'll budge. Your reward will be prettier loaves. Good luck and happy baking! Kye@KAF
