I wanted to make Paska (similar to Babka) for Easter in my new (since January) Cuisinart Convection bread machine. I asked my SIL, who gave me her family recipe years ago, and she said she did it all the time--just put the wet ingredients in first, dry next, and yeast last. I prefer to use the Dough cycle and then bake all my bread in the oven. I added the raisins and almonds when the "Mixins" warning beeped. My first loaf overflowed the pan during its rise in the machine. I kept my eye on the second loaf and removed it from the machine when it had doubled (about a 30-minute rise). I removed the paddle, put the dough in the pan (I use a springform pan) and when it had doubled again, I put it into the preheated oven and baked it at 350F for 25 minutes. It was perfect! Even with baking in the oven, this is so much easier than making this bread manually.
