Thanks for such a great tutorial! The pictures are really helpful. I've been making this buttercream for years, but I've never used to crumb coat until today.
Unfortunately when I tried to put my second coat on (the finishing coat) it pretty much sheared off the crumb coat and I couldn't for the life of me figure out why it wasn't going on smoothly and looked the most awful mess.
Can you please help me with this? It's the most wonderful buttercream and I love using it, but how do I stop the shearing off and both coats becoming such a mess?
