Hi Susan, Thanks for this recipe but before I try it, my question---if you put the sugar syrup in a greased measuring container, will the whites still beat to peak stage? I've always heard to make sure there is no oil, butter, or grease in the bowl when making a meringue. So won't the oil in the measuring container incorporate with the sugar syrup? Thanks, MaryLouise
