Hi there! I started a new starter on Monday. All seemed to be going well until this morning when it developed the hooch on top. I read on a baking group that this meant it was hungry and to just mix the hooch in and feed it. I just read this article and you say to pour off the hooch. Is my starter going to be ok? Should I start over? The recipe I have isn’t nearly as detailed as some recommendations I got in the group or what I’ve seen here so far. It only has me feeding it every 2-3 days and baking on day 7-8. Others have said it takes up to two weeks. I’m a little confused. I’d appreciate any help you’d be able to give.
