Hi there, I’ve been reading your posts and like to thank you for all the great info you’ve shared with us.
Recently I’ve learned of horrible bacteria called “botulism” and the more I’ve read about it, the more I’ve become concerned if it’s possible for this bacteria to contaminate my sourdough starter?
Not to scare anyone, but this bacteria seams even the tiny bit of it, whether it’s physical or inhaling it can make you extremely sick to the point you need to be hospitalized with unpredictable recovery etc. It scared the life out of me and now I’m not sure if is possible for my starter to contain this bacteria with out of me knowing about it and expose my family or myself to it.
