Hi Alicia, I doubt the oven with the light on would be hot enough to cook your starter. It would have to get close to 140ºF to kill the wild yeast. As long as your starter is still bubbling, I think you're safe to continue on. Aim for an environoment that is somewhere in the 70's, but you don't need to go much hotter than that.
