Hi Barb! I've just started baking breads and have opted to do it with live starters, unfortunately, without much luck.
I find my starters are not rising the dough very much at all and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. My first question to you is, can a live starter be used instead of instant or active yeast for any recipes? Another question is, can I used the live starters alone or do I need to also add commercial yeast to it?
