I am so glad for this. I have thrown my old starter away, thinking that it was bad. It had the dark hooch and thinking that it was bad, plus the fact, I did not want to make anyone sick. So, as I order my next starter, I will take this information to heart and keep it. See what happens and stop beating myself up for neglect. Many thanks.
