Hi Jade, we did an experiment here with creating sourdough starters from scratch and a few of us did see some blue coloring with the whole wheat flour. Since it's still so early on in the process and you have plenty of time to weed out any unhelpful bacteria, I would encourage you to continue. Most likely you won't see any further blue spots.
