A couple of months ago I neglected my sourdough starter and it had a clear liquid with a pinkish tinge under it. I didn't realize this meant that it could have gone bad. I carefully scraped this off and fed it several times over the course of the next few days. It came back to life and smelled perfect... so I used it. I've been using it and feeding it (1:1:1 ratio) regularly ever since. I've just now seen this post and understand that it might have gone bad. It's super active now and smells fine. Should I be using it or, to be on the safe side, should I toss it and start over? I certainly don't want to get anyone sick. Thank you!!!
