I started with a King Arthur Starter and I may have already screwed it up. The liquidy starter that I received from KA after I tried an initial feed etc, turned a little drier like a dough rather than a thick liquid. The smell has lessened in sour/freshness but we arent that far removed from initial feeding. Is there a good way to save this and proceed? As of Sunday, I made a couple loaves (which didnt rise much and were very dense) and I did a final feed for the starter which has been in my fridge. There are bubbles but it seems thick as stated above, how should I approach this? Or is this normal?
