Hi Jane, your starter should be totally fine! However, if you plan to leave it in the refrigerator for an extended time, I would recommend giving  it a feeding at room temperature, let it sit out for a few hours to start bubbling, and then return it to the fridge. This will help it hold up a little better in the fridge.
