My starter is a few months old and today I noticed some red streaks in the discard when disposing immediately after a feeding. I stirred the fed starter after I noticed and did not see any red streaks in it. Does the remaining feed starter need to be thrown out too? I keep my starter in the fridge between feedings and forgot to feed it last week for the first time.
