Hi Ignacia, I suspect your starter will be fine, but I would try to give it a few days of twice a day feedings at room temperature to restore it to its normal activity level and aroma. When it's been neglected in the refrigerator for a more extended time these "revival" feedings will help build the populations of yeast and lactic acid bacteria and restore their normal balance, so that the starter will rise well and won't smell quite as strong. The grey color should go away as well.
