Hi Makenzie, you're starter should be totally fine. It sounds like the more extended time at room temperature just allowed it to rise beyond the size of your jar. I would just give it another feeding and let it sit out for an hour or two before returning it to the refrigerator. If you're following our sourdough starter maintenance routine, a quart size jar should fit this quantitiy of starter well.
