Hello,

I was on day 6 of my sourdough starter but like some of the other comments, mine was starting to look like pancake batter. It still had a few bubbles, but definitely wasn't rising at all. I saw a comment about reducing the feeding temporarily to once every 24 hours (reducing the ratio of 2:1:1).....so I skipped last night's feeding and when I returned to look at my starter this morning, it had 3 tiny spots of mold!! Eek! Was my starter doomed from the start?? Any thoughts on what I might have done wrong. I am willing to try out a starter again (am wondering if I should try the small starter first). Thanks!
