Hi Sparrow, yes, no harm done! Right after feeding you're looking for a starter consistency that is thick and pasty, but still fairly easy to stir. As it rises it should become more airy in texture, more like a thick pancake batter. It sounds like you've corrected the consistency correctly, so you should be good to go, although if you happened to have moved to your sourdough crock for this feeding, you may want to transfer it to a larger bowl.
