Hi I have 2 starters that are about six months old. They are kept at room temp as I live in Ireland and temperature in the house is quite low.
They are fed daily and had been performing quite well but two days ago they both developed a strong fermentation odour and although they still seem to bubble after feeding they are not rising. One is based on a plain strong flour and one on a whole meal flour but both have the same issue is there something I can do ?
