Hi! I bought a KAF sourdough starter 2 1/2 years ago, and it worked fine, no problems. I ended up with two quart starter jars, that I put in the refrigerator on the top shelf. Well, since I am now in my 70's, the age when life starts handing you challenges, because of one illness, fall or whatnot, I've not been able to use it for 2 years. (Both jars have been in the same spot in the frig.) Now that I think - with any luck - that I can start baking again, I looked at the starter, thinking it was time to start a new batch; both jars look like it is only the gray "hooch" on the top! Is it possible that the starter is any good yet, and may come back to life with a few feedings??!! (My fridge is quite cold in that spot.)
