Hi Barb,
I've been at this starter business for weeks... So many different versions, guides, methods. It's all becoming very frustrating while the smell and texture of what I made seems fine. No hooch. No peculiar smell other than what is supposed to be. HOWEVER, I have put it in the fridge after days of keeping the jar in Sheldons above the stove. I don't know what to do, if I have to revive it, if it is useful or throw it out altogether. I'm in Los Angeles and the temperature is never too warm or too cold. In other words, I'm lost in the process of what I think it's a wonderful trip into home bread making. Suggestions? Do I need to send a picture of the jar? Deeply grateful.
