Hello, I found this conversation when I googled "sourdough starter in metal". I recently switched to my metal bowl from my glass jar because it is so much easier to get it out :) I'm trying to get enough starter make to make baguettes which requires 2 cups of starter or discard. I've read instructions on how to get that much, but it was too lengthy, so I'm just feeding my starter every 12 hours, and placing the discard in a jar. It seems to be working, bubbling, rising and passes the float test. Is there an easier way to achive 2 cups of starter/discard?
