Hi, my starter is very bubbly and active for most of the day (I feed it in the afternoon and always doubles in size at night).
But when I come back to it in the morning, there is always a layer of fuzzy mold on top. It's just white and doesn't smell too different. I usually just remove the top layer, feed it normally, and rises like normal. If the mold keeps coming back, should I clean the jar and just take a tablespoon from my current starter?
Is the mold a bad sign if it's only a layer on top everyday?
