Hello! I just found you and I'm so glad! This is my THIRD attempt at a starter, I'm sure I gave up too early the other two times but I really did try! My starter is just not rising. This is the 5th day and it has only been rising about 20% everyday. I started with 100 grams of organic whole wheat flour and 100 grams of filtered tap water. I've been saving 100 grams of starter per day, adding 100 grams of organic All Purpose flour and 100 grams of filtered tap water. On day 3 I started feeding twice a day. I have been keeping it in the oven at night with the light on. The only thing I can think is that for a couple days I was cleaning out my vessel with hot water and leaving the vessel hot when I put the starter back in thinking this was helpful because it is not that warm in the Northwest right now, my home barely hits 70* daily. Could that have damaged my starter? She is still bubbly, but not vigorously. It has not yet ever been vigorous. I will try feeding it as close to every 10 hours that I can. Any other suggestions?
