Hi Barb,i have recently started baking bread and i love it.i enjoy the recipes that are posted by KAF and every time i bake we enjoy the home baked bread very much.i wanted to try baking sourdough and began making starter it was ripe within a week and i put it in fridge and fed it every 7 to 8 days recently when i wanted to feed it it had a pink streak i discarded it and fed it then i checked on the internet and realised i should throw it out.i just wanted to see if it will go pink again after a few days it has not and i am going to throw it away but iwant to know what i did wrong. Love to hear from you
