I received a starter kit last week and followed the directions to a T. At this point, I have been reducing my starter to 1/2 cup, and adding 1/2 cup all purpose flour with 1/2 cup water. I was initially doing this once a day but for the last 3 days I have increased it to twice a day. About 2-3 hours after feeding, the starter will increase by maybe 25-50%. It never doubles. By 5 hours after feeding, it has shrunk back down to almost original size. When I stir it to feed it, the bubbles on the top are almost frothy. What should I be doing differently?
